I have orchids from the clearance racks and a bunch of tillandsia’s. The big tillandsia is just amazing.
Well one bloom so far. And it’s pointing down go figure. It does have another bloom coming next to it and the other little guy looks like it’ll be full of blooms.
I was fascinated by the Australian Aborigines back in my late teens and early twenties. The band Outback is one that really made me want to learn how to play. These guys put out two albums. I also learned to make boomerangs, which do come back. I was looking through my music collection this morning and was listening to them. So I got wondering what happened to them? Did they put out more albums? Wikipedia only lists the two albums but I ran across a video of them I just had to post. You can tell it’s from the early 90’s.
Here he is….done, I think. Of course I made him a cement stand. It was fun. I’ll have to try doing something better next time. Perhaps use an armature(skeleton). I didn’t make one, so he was a bit fragile. I just got goofing around and ended up with him.
It’s almost been a year since we got the girls last June. They were so tiny. They still seem small. We figured Maya(the lighter gray one) was born around this time of year so we decided her the birthday of 23 February. Feya is a little younger, so we decided her birthday is March 13th. I miss the old ladies. It’s been about a year since they left. 20 years was a good run, many adventures and my best friends for much of it.
Last fall I built a work bench for this garage. The garage is pretty big but I didn’t have the room for anything big. It’ll work.
Now I need to figure out some legs for the 2ft. x2ft., 1/4 inch thick steel plate I got. This will be my welding/brazing table.
